**DVD Review of “Bruno”

Bruno a comedy that you will love if you liked and praised Borat. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray November 17, 2009.

About

This is about a gay Austrian who comes to America to become famous. After a mishap in Milan he was shunned in the fashion industry. To redeem his status he travels to America and goes through crazy adventures revealing his trials to become famous.

Rated 18+

Highlights

It has a few good laughs. I think its the true realism of his exploits that is a huge highlight of this movie. It also, stays true to his other work Borat.

Opportunities

It is really targeted to push the boundaries. In some ways it might have been better if it was toned down.

Overall

I really didn’t like this movie. I did like Borat, but this really pushed the limit and is not recommended for any person below the age of 18. They are really some crazy scenes and I had to turn it off part way through my first time watching it. If you liked Borat, this is times 10.

I rate this movie 4.5 out of 10!!!

Rent it, But it available on Blu-Ray!!!

**DVD Review of “Star Trek”

Star Trek is one of the most anticipated movies to come to DVD and Blu-Ray this year!!! It is available on November 17, 2009 and does not disappoint!!

About

A Romulan named “Nero” comes from the future to take revenge on the Federation and Spock. New recruits of the U.S.S. Enterprise will voyage through unimaginable danger to stop him from destroying everything they know.

Rated PG

Highlights

This movie brings Old School Star Trek a nice revision with a new and modern William T Kirk and very cool Spock!!! I liked how they blended this movie and interrupted the space time continuum to make this movie an introduction to the New STAR TREK. The major highlights is the new modern attitude of the hip and charming William T Kirk. William T Kirk rocks this movie and promotes his playboy attitude but highlights his leadership as Captain.

Opportunities

Nothing. Well I am a little biased as I watched this movie 3 times this weekend and loved it!!! I definitely would have liked to see Spock more like he was in the TV Series and be more logical LOL. I liked how young Spock was portrayed but seemed a little off from what I remember. So, the major opportunity is to bring him back to the older Spock in future films of STAR TREK.

Overall

A must see for sure!!! I can’t say much more, but every generation will love STAR TREK after this movie. It motivates me to watch the older series from scratch. I recommend this movie whole heartedly and will not disappoint.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10!!!

Rent it, Buy it and available on Blu-Ray!!!

**Phone Number Scan

logo-300.GIF

Have you ever had that weird number that shows up and you don’t want to answer it? I know I have, and was so annoyed because I really wanted to know who it was. Worst is when they don’t even leave a Voicemail!!!

I googled and tried to find these “curious” numbers and only got limited success.  I only was able to really find out which city, province or state the number is from.

In any case I ran across this “Phone Number Scan” and is not a free service but can be worth a lot if you desperately need to know who is calling. I have even gotten random people to call back the number or call from a different number pretending to be someone else to find out who the heck is calling … can be embarrassing LOL. It’s $19.99 for 1 year access.  I got a friend to sign up and used it once with great success.  I was able to find out Phone Number Details such as the name and address the phone number was registered too.  I got all I really needed and found out I was glad I didn’t answer that number LOL!!!  I guess it depends how much you want to know who called.

Check it out: http://ow.ly/BeWj and let me know what you think.

**DVD Review of “The Ugly Truth”

The Ugly Truth was surprisingly good. I thought this would be a total “Chick flick” but really was an all around good movie for both men and women. It will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray November 10, 2009!!!

About:

A TV producer show is low on the ratings risking her show to be canceled and is forced to take on an obnoxious TV star to bring the ratings up. The movie spawns the TV producers real relationship woes and takes man advice from the one person she despises the most.

Movie Rating: 14A

Highlights:

Just like in life the “Ugly Truth” hurts. I like how this movie possess some real truths about men, women and relationships. I like how the obnoxious TV star breaks down the simplicity of mens needs and how he exposes them to the world. The TV producer soon realizes her perfect man is not what you make him out to be but the man that excepts you for who you really are. I loved the transitions of “truth” which I believe makes this movie.

Opportunities:

The main parts in the movie were totally predictable. You know from the beginning what will end up happening.

Overall:

Even though the movie was highly predictable, I think that is the charm of the whole movie. I was presently surprised how good the movie was and definitely recommend the movie. Overall, it is funny, cute and would be a great movie night DVD rental!!!

I give this movie an 8.0 out of 10!!!

Rent it, But it and available on Blu-ray!!!
